SERVICES
We service all natural stone including MARBLE, TRAVERTINE, GRANITE,
LIMESTONE, SLATE, TUMBLED STONE, TERRAZZO, FLAGSTONE, ONYX
and more. We also clean and restore GROUT, PORCELAIN TILE, CERAMIC
TILE, MEXICAN TILE AND OTHER PAVERS. Our pictures page will show just a
few examples of our restorations. Also on this page are brief descriptions of
the processes we use to restore your fine material.
#1 PREPARATION ; The perfect start to a great restoration is protection of
surfaces adjacent to the serviced material. We use high quality 3M company
masking films and blue painters tape as well as heavy duty tarps and plastic
runners. (see picture page for example)
#2 CLEANING; We use site specific chemicals and in most cases they are
environmentally safe. We machine clean, hand scrub grout joints, corners and
edges then a powerful commercial wet vac removes all the dirty solution and
then we use a neutralizing rinse.
#3 HONING, RESURFACING OR GRINDING; We use specialty abrasives from
DIAMOND DISKS, ALUMINUM OXIDE SCREENS AND HONING ABRASIVE
POWDERS to remove everything from minor wear patterns and scratches to
lippage and uneven edges.
#4 POLISHING; After the surface is prepped properly we polish the stone
using micro-abrasive diamond and other polishing compounds to achieve the
ultimate results for any particular material. (see picture page)
#5 SEALING AND FINISHING; After the stone or material has been restored
we apply only premium quality penetrating sealers and finishes. These are of
utmost importance to protect from staining materials. Almost all natural stone
and grout is porous and requires sealing. Penetrating sealers are best  with
smooth cut stones such as marble, travertine, granite and limestones. A
finish is generally used on porous pavers or rough cut stone such as slate or
flagstone but penetrants can be used as well if you prefer the natural
appearance of these materials
